We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. Our exams are 20 minutes long and allow plenty of time for you to discuss any behavioural or medical concerns you may have. - Emergency Service
Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. It is best to call before coming in to ensure there is a veterinarian available and we can have things all set up to better care for your pet. You can call our number any hour of the day and if we are closed it will automatically transfer your call to Fairfield Animal Hospital in Kelowna. We are very fortunate that a 24 hour emergency clinic that specializes in emergency care so close. We know it's a bit further to drive but it may be in your pet's best interest to be seen at a fully staffed facility capable of handling emergencies that require extensive monitoring, surgery, etc. Also, it is comforting to know that there is staff to monitor the patients all throughout the night. - Fairfield Animal Hospital: 1987 Kirschner Rd, Kelowna 250-860-6550 or Toll Free 1-877-871-6590
- We recommend our clients keep this information handy in case of an emergency.
- Dental Care
Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use a modern and safe ultrasonic scaler to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. The end result is pearly white and fresh breathe! - Boarding
AS OF JUNE 2018 WE NO LONGER OFFER BOARDING SERVICES - Euthanasia Services
Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity. Communal and private cremation services are available. With communal cremation the ashes are spread over an orchard. With private cremation you get the ashes back either in a scatterbox or an urn. The scatterbox allows you to scatter as you wish or put in an urn of you own. We also have additional urn styles to choose from. The standard urn we provide is a dark stained wooden box with a brass nameplate with your pet's name and the following inscription "Forever Faithful, Forever at Peace". For $10 you can personalize the nameplate as you wish with your own inscription or pet's lifespan dates, etc. Please see our 'Pet Loss' section to prepare for euthanasia and to help you afterwards. - Microchips
Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery. - Nutrition Counseling
Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our trained staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active. - Pain Management
Pets feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognising and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care. - Radiology
Radiology or X-rays help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, heart and lungs, gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems. - Surgery
All patients are carefully screened for safety, and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. Surgical services and facilities include: fully trained technical staff to ensure the safest, most efficient procedures for your pet; heated surgery tables for greater comfort; advanced sterilization techniques; pulse and oxygen saturation monitors; intensive post-surgery care. - Ultrasound
Dr Darcy Rae, internal medicine specialist, is referred in on special cases requiring ultrasound for diagnosing or managing care. - Birds, Reptiles, Rabbits and Small Mammals
